Just minutes after I posted the new Atmosphere and the Christmas shit, tREB put this up officially.
I'm trying to get the word out about this EP because simply put: I love this shit. It's a project put together by the producer tREBLEFREE and the rapper DVS. I ain't know much about either of them before this, but it's a great fuckin' introduction for any hip hop lover out there.
The full story is explained on the OMNiverse website, so please get over there as soon as you can. Here's what I know: it began with tREB's chop of the JB's (James Brown's band) "Watermelon Man" in 2005, and soon after that, DVS agreed to do a whole EP of JB inspired beats.
So here it is, and be sure to support these dudes! Hopefully we will be able to meet them in the studio sometime soon.
